I apologize for the sections with no photos of people or venues. Mary and I went different directions for part of the tour and without her to help with photos, I didn't get everything.

DORKING AND WESTCOTT - We stayed with our good friends Lizann and John Peppard for awhile before my tour started. They live in the village of Westcott, just out of Dorking in Surrey. These are photos from the first days of our visit.

LEITH HILL - John took us to Leith Hill, a beautiful outlook over the Surrey countryside. From the top of the tower, we could see the English Channel to the south and London to the north.

RALPH VAUGHAN WILLIAMS HOME - We took a day trip to the estate of the famous English composer.

A WALK IN SHERE - John and Lizann are members of The Ramblers, an English walking association that overseas and maintains--physically, politically, and legally--many hundreds of miles of public walking paths throughout England.

SWITZERLAND, PART 1 - Mary flew to the Netherlands to visit her brother, Richard. I flew on my own to Zurich to start the Continental part of the tour.
